Here's the before shots of the MR2 in question. I purchased this MR2 from a guy in Austin a couple years ago and drove it home. The only real issue was that it died on the way home. I found out that oil was being spit through the ring seals into the head and then up through the intake. Oil was clogging up the intake and then would die. I rebuilt the engine and drove it for a while before putting it down. Here are the shots:

My name is Tim Truelove and this diary is meant to show my progress transforming an '85 Toyota MR2 NA into a turbo charged mid engine super beast. The MR2 is greatly known for its handling ability and almost perfect 50/50 weight distribution. This alone makes this car a tuner dream for cheap.

The current motor is a rebuilt 4AGE 16v 4 cylinder motor pushing 115 hp stock from factory. The proposed plan will create approx. 200 hp after turbo, which is more than enough for this tiny car. This is also a restoration project so I will strip paint, fix dents, replace panels, etc. This diary should help me stick with it. Keep watching for updates.
